"I wanted something that would help my daughter with Maths homework when I'm still at work — but wouldn't just hand her the answer. Max nudges her, asks her what she tried, and tells me afterwards what tripped her up. That's the part I couldn't get from YouTube."

Parent FAQ

Is this safe for my Grade 4?
Yes. Max Claw is built for Grade R–12 with age-band guardrails and content filters. Every chat is reviewable in your dashboard, and serious concerns route to SADAG and Childline SA.
What if my child just wants the answer?
Max won't give it. It scaffolds with one hint at a time using the Socratic method. If your child gets stuck, the dashboard shows you exactly where so you can step in.
How much does it cost per child?
From R75 per learner per month with family discounts up to 17% for multiple children. There's a once-off R350 setup. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Does it work on a cheap Android?
Yes. Low-bandwidth mode runs on entry-level Android phones (1GB RAM and up) and is designed to survive load-shedding and patchy data.
Is my child's data sold or used to train AI?
No. We are POPIA-aligned: no personal data from minors is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train third-party models. You can delete the account and data at any time.
What languages does Max speak?
English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, Setswana and more. Children can switch language mid-explanation if a concept is clearer in their home language.
Does Max replace a real tutor or teacher?
No — Max is a 24/7 homework helper and study companion that complements (not replaces) your child's teachers. For diagnosed learning differences we always recommend a qualified specialist.
